Ser romântico, sonhador e gracioso sem se tornar dramático ou teatral, é algo bastante difícil de alcançar. Bill Withers fê- lo várias vezes, em baladas assumidas ou temas incrívelmente groovy de Jazz e Rhythm & Blues. Note- se que Withers nem é gajo de dançar "...I don`t even dance. I`m a guy who sits on a stool, strums a little guitar and tries to sing a tune...", mas quando fez "Lovely Night For Dancing" sabia perfeitamente onde chegar "...like all human beings, I earn for acceptance.
